I just discovered Send Me Something, which is a local business that... sends you something.
While the grab bag idea has been around for a while, I love the idea of being able to send someone a present that would be a surprise to you both. You could certainly use Send Me Something for your own little pick-me-up, I think it works much better as a random act of kindness for someone else.
So! Let's throw some support their way! Leave me a comment here about something small that makes you happy. In about a week I'll let Dan pick a comment and we'll send that person a free Send Me Something package.
P.S. You do not have to be in or around Cincinnati to win this prize.

I like beer 12 oz. at a time. That's pretty small, right?
I wake up early before I head off to work so I can check the news and work on my blogs. Sometimes my 5 year old son wakes up a little early and comes to the stairs. I hear a faint but distinct, "hello - are you there?" I reply with a yes and he comes barrelling down to give me a hug then heads back to bed for a little bit more sleep.
I can't stop smiling after that for the rest of the day.
Friday nights @ home with the Wife and dog, with Wendy's and some DVR'd shows.
No matter what kind of mood I'm in, eating Oreos and milk ALWAYS makes me happy.
I like it when the adult that catches the tshirt I threw to a little kid right next to them actually gives the little kid the shirt.
It's just a tshirt people!
Getting something by snail mail that is an actual personal communication is usually a mood lifter for me.
Coming home to my dog (budman) so excited he can't walk straight. I love the feeling of being missed, and he misses me even if I'm only gone for 10 minutes! :)
That the boyfriend texts me that he loves me all day long - and I asked him why he tells me that every 20 minutes - he said "well you never know what could happen and I don't want to take the chance that I didn't get to tell you"
awwwwwwww...let's not all puke at once!
My son just recently got moved to a "big boy" bed and so he can get up all by himself in the morning. So every morning he gets out of bed and opens his door just a crack and peeks out. He then comes completely out of his room and steals a look around the corner to make sure I am sitting on the couch helping my daughter get ready for school. Once he sees that I too am awake he runs full force at me and climbs up in my lap. He takes my face in his little hands, looks me straight in the eyes and very softly whispers "Hi mommy" I can't help but smile every morning.
I've done this kind of thing before at The Something Store. It's not the right gift for everyone, but I have a friend with a flair for the random and she LOVED it.
Also, Nathan and Amber had awesome happy things.
