We visited Madeira, Norwood and Corryville, then ended our day at the main branch downtown. I have to throw a shout-out to Cincinnati Public Library's awesome Twitter account-- whoever is running their social media really helped me out when I asked which branches to visit!
Here are a few images from our visit to the Madeira branch. It seemed to be a very family-oriented library... warm, rounded, wooden, inviting, with about half the building dedicated to children's books. A very sweet library!

The Lane Public Library branch in Hamilton is beautiful, too, with amazing reading rooms. Okay, northern Cincinnati plug complete :)
I grew up around there and when we were kids, my sister and I would ride our bikes to the library and spend all day there. I remember reading Hot Rod magazine and books about WWI and sharks. Sometimes mom would give us a few dollars to get ice cream at the Friendly's down the street (now a bank).
My parents met at the Madeira Friendly's. ;) He was a line cook, she was a waitress.
Unbelievable!! I guess I'm not the only one who misses that Friendly's...
No, definitely not the only one. I make Dan drive me to Dayton to get Friendly's every once in a while... it's the closest that exists these days. :)
