When Dan and I were walking around Lunken, we stumbled across the Pioneer Memorial Cemetery. I'm not sure what to say except that it was frakkin' gorgeous. Headstones from the late 1700s.
I love love love being able to just accidentally find things like this. In school I always had problems with history because I'm bad with chronology, dates, etc. But when I'm able to spend time in graveyards and historic sites, I can paint much better pictures in my head.

We stumbled upon this last fall when we rode our bikes around Lunkin. We were like whats that little overgrown gravel lot then we saw one thing after another and worked our way in.
Cool little place for the very first settlers in the area.
Funny the picture of the tree over taking the headstone is almost an exact copy of mine, but I guess theres only a couple of ways to take that picture.
Isn't it beautiful? Also, I'm so glad the first comment wasn't like "OMG why are you taking pictures of graves, you sicko."
I worry about that.
IDK, I think its fascinating.
