I am Erica Minton, and I am burnt-the-eff-out of Cincinnati.
Was. Was burnt-the-eff-out.
I'm 26 and I've lived here all of my life-- even college only took me as far as Miami University (<1hr away). I felt that I'd done it all, seen it all, eaten it all, met 'em all.
Of course that wasn't true. While I'm living in a suburb I've definitely outgrown, the moment I really tried to piece together a social life I was inundated with options and opportunities that I'd been blind to before.
So I'm re-adventuring Cincinnati. This is the blog where I'll share my rekindled love for the Queen City, Porkopolis, the home of the first baseball team and chili that ain't chili.
As they say, don't trash the 'Nati. ...At least not until you've given it a fair shake.

I just discovered this blog today...love all the stories about Cincinnati.. I was born in Cincinati(Oakley) and pretty much lived here all my life except for the 4 years I was stationed in Ialy serving in the armed forces. I love the rich culture in Cincinnati and all the great ethnic food. (Skyline Chili..yumm..Where else can you find some great chili in Cincy?)
I have a Personal Shopper and Errand Service located outside of the Hyde Park area. You can visit our website at http://CincyPersonalShopper.com to find out about our service.
Just discovered your site today and ended up going through all the old entries back to the beginning. I lived in Cincy through college and am currently in Columbus for grad school. Going back through this blog gives me the itch to come back to Cincy and do some more exploring. Love the site, will be checking back here for more good ideas in the future! Thanks!
Mike
Thank you so much for your comment! We're having a great time re-exploring the city where we thought we'd seen it all.
If you ever swoop into Cincinnati, drop me a line! We could do coffee or something-- maybe at some coffee house we've never heard of. :)

I just found your blog today, and I love it! Thank you for helping showcase the good stuff that happens in Cincinnati.
Any time, Wendy!
Thanks for the shout-out to Keep Cincinnati Beautiful.
And I look forward to reading along!
Erica, I'm so glad I found your blog last night (thanks, Google Reader Suggestions). My wife was born and raised in Cincinnati (Amelia, actually), and I'm from Columbus. We're moving back to the Cincinnati area next year after 3 years of grad school in Illinois, and your blog is exactly the thing we were both looking for to discover all of the awesome gems of a city that she's been in and around her whole life, and that I'm eager to explore!
Thank you so much, Harry! We're both really glad to hear it. If there's anything you think we ought to check out, let us know?
